Interiors for desert living

studio KAST designs warm, layered homes and hospitality spaces with a deep respect for material and light.

Rich materials, honest light

Walnut, limewash plaster, Viola marble and glazed tile, layered until a room feels collected and alive.

Every room ends at the view

We plan from the landscape inward, so every room is shaped by the light and the land outside it.

The studio

We design interiors that feel warm, collected and made to be lived in.

Keanen KastenFounder and lead designer

studio KAST takes on a small number of projects at a time, so every client works directly with the lead designer, from the first floor plan to the last placed object.

A material-first process

Every project starts with a palette you can touch: stone, timber, plaster, leather and bronze. Each decision is made against those few materials, so the finished rooms read as one rich whole.

  1. Listen

We begin at your space, learning how you live, host and use each room.

  2. Plan

Layouts, lighting and a complete material schedule, presented as one clear design.

  3. Source

Trade and custom pieces specified, ordered and tracked by the studio.

  4. Install

We place every piece, style every shelf and hand over a finished home.
